1. Acceptance
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use & Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.
2. About the website
Rwanda Freedom of Speech is an independent initiative founded by John B. Simbaburanga. It promotes truth, peaceful dialogue, public awareness, fundamental rights, personal responsibility and freedom of speech. It is not presented as a government website, court, law firm, emergency service or public authority.
3. Informational purpose
Content is provided for general information, education, commentary, public awareness and peaceful discussion. It is not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice and is not an official government statement or emergency instruction.
4. Freedom of speech and responsibility
The initiative supports freedom of speech exercised peacefully and responsibly. Freedom of speech does not remove responsibility for unlawful threats, harassment, incitement, defamation, impersonation, discrimination, privacy violations, intellectual-property infringement or other unlawful conduct.
5. Accuracy and updates
Reasonable efforts may be made to publish useful information, but content may become outdated, translations may be imperfect, external links may change and errors may occur. No guarantee is made that every item is complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose. Content may be corrected, updated or removed at any time.
6. Opinions and third-party material
Opinions in interviews, quotations, linked materials, X Spaces, guest contributions or external media belong to their respective speakers or authors unless clearly stated otherwise. Linking or publication does not necessarily mean that Rwanda Freedom of Speech agrees with every statement.
7. Corrections and right of reply
A person who believes that published information about them is materially inaccurate may contact info@rwandafreedomofspeech.com, identifying the relevant page, disputed statement, proposed correction and reliable supporting information. Requests will be considered in good faith, but submission does not guarantee removal, correction or publication of a reply.
8. External links, media and translation
The website may link to or embed services such as YouTube, X, TikTok and WhatsApp. Rwanda Freedom of Speech does not control their content, availability, security, advertising, privacy practices or moderation decisions. Google Translate provides automatic translations that may be incomplete or inaccurate.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, original text, branding, page design, logo, photographs and other original material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may share public links and quote limited extracts for lawful commentary, criticism, education or reporting with clear attribution. You may not republish substantial original content as your own, remove attribution, misuse the logo, falsely imply endorsement, or commercially exploit protected content without permission. Third-party media remains the property of its respective owners.
10. Permitted use
You must not attack, disrupt or overload the website; bypass security; scan for private files or credentials without authorisation; distribute malware; impersonate the initiative or another person; misuse contact details for spam, threats or harassment; or use the website to facilitate unlawful activity.
11. No visitor publishing rights
Visitors cannot directly edit or publish content. Only authorised persons controlling the private publishing tools and Cloudflare deployment account may publish website updates. Access to a public page does not create editorial, administrative or ownership rights.
12. Voluntary support
Any support or donation is voluntary. Unless specifically agreed in writing, support does not purchase editorial control, guarantee publication, or create ownership or partnership rights. Verify payment instructions through the official contact email before transferring funds.
13. No warranty
The website is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, no warranty is given regarding uninterrupted availability, complete security, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility with every device, or continued availability of third-party services.
14. Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Rwanda Freedom of Speech and its publisher are not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general informational content without appropriate professional advice, use of external websites, third-party platform decisions, temporary unavailability, automatic-translation errors, or unlawful actions by visitors or third parties. Nothing here excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Privacy
Use of the website is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
16. Changes, severability and applicable law
The website, its content and these terms may be changed at any time. If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue as far as legally possible. The website must be used in accordance with all laws applicable to the visitor and publisher, without removing mandatory legal rights.
